We have come to develop a vast experience with the Voice Over
IP and PBX server Asterisk. We have then decided to
share our experience with our customers.
Call quality is the same as the one we can
get from standard PSTN lines and important
savings can be made.
In short, you can install your own Asterisk
server in your premises and you can deal
with several VOIP providers in order to
achieve high availability. We can provide
you with a list of reliable providers.
You may also use Asterisk as a traditional PBX where VOIP
providers are not used at all. You would then connect your server
to your existing PSTN (copper lines, traditional "Bell") phone lines.
In this case, Asterisk will handle your voicemail, put customers
in queues until one of your agent becomes available, route calls to your
extensions, manage conferences, etc.
